Thank you for using SnipNote. Your privacy is paramount. This policy explains how we handle your information within the extension.
SnipNote is built with a Local-First architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
The following permissions are required for the extension to function correctly:
sidePanel: To provide a persistent interface for your notes.storage / unlimitedStorage: To save your snapshots securely on
your hard drive.
activeTab / tabs: To capture the current page image and retrieve
titles for indexing.
scripting: To enable specialized features like partial screen selection.
Because your data is stored locally, its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend using standard OS-level encryption (like FileVault or BitLocker) to protect your local browser data.
Should the functionality of SnipNote change, this policy will be updated. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
